The Ministry of National Development will double the pace of the Home Improvement Programme (HIP), with a total of 28 projects to be selected next year, up from 14 per year over the last two years.
By 2014, 35 projects will be carried out annually. At this pace, up to 60 per cent of the eligible precincts remaining after this year's selection - or 160,000 households - will benefit from HIP by 2016.
